James Rainford better known as Paris Hilton’s stalker was charged on Friday, July 15, with felony stalking after violating a restraining order which dictates he must stay away from Paris Hilton.

Rainford is scheduled to be arraigned in court on two counts of felony stalking and three misdemeanors of disobeying a court order, Deputy District Attorney Wendy Segall with Target Crimes Division. He is being held on $150,000 bail and if convicted, he faces up to five years in state prison.

Rainford, who the heiress and reality star has dubbed her “stalker,” did not comment. The 36-year-old man previously appeared in court on July 5, a day after he was arrested outside Paris’ Malibu home.

“My stalker needs to leave me alone. #Creep” Hilton tweeted at the time.

Law enforcement officials had detained Rainford after receiving a call about a man on the beach who was mentioned to have been peeking into one of Hilton’s homes. Paparazzi directed them to Rainford.

The caller said he recognized the man from a television news report. Rainford had previously attacked Hilton’s ex-boyfriend Cy Waits near a Los Angeles courthouse in April. The incident was captured by local news cameramen. Rainford told witnesses that he has “already proposed” to Paris and that “her dad already said ‘Yes.’”

Rainford spent twenty-four days in jail after pleading no contest to battery following the taped incident. His sentence was supposed to last 227 days and was shortened – a common measure in Los Angeles, usually made due to overcrowding.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement that Rainford was issued a restraining order to stay away from Hilton and her then-boyfriend in October 2010, after he was arrested on a battery charge involving the two.

Rainford was detained on suspicion of trying to contact Hilton at her main residence in the Hollywood Hills and trying to fight off her security guards. In January 2011, Rainford pleaded no contest to civil assault and was given probation. Put the creep away!

Zooey Deschanel says she feels very “lucky” to contribute music to the new Disney movie, “Winnie the Pooh.”

“Tom MacDougall, who works in music for Disney, asked me to do the first song and I guess they liked it? So then they asked me to write the end credits song and then they asked me to do a song in the middle,” Zooey Deschanel said during the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Winnie The Pooh.’ “It was just lucky, I guess!”

The actress and singer said that she had watched the film and also some rough animations before she wrote the songs for the film’s soundtrack.

“I wanted something that a kid could see now, and then hear in like 15, 20 years and still like the song, and something that their parents would like when they see the movie,” Deschanel tells the Associated Press in an interview.

“Winnie the Pooh” features the usual classic characters voiced by actors John Cleese and Craig Ferguson. Voice actor Jim Cummings did the voices for both Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.

The movie follows Winnie the Pooh as he sets out to find honey and then he misinterprets a note left by Christopher Robin, Pooh brings his friends Tigger, Piglet, Owl, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo and Eeyore on an adventure to save their young friend Christopher Robin.

Deschanel branched into music in 2001, appearing in a jazz cabaret act called If All the Stars Were Pretty Babies. She has since performed on soundtracks for “Elf,” “Your Highness,” and “(500) Days of Summer.”  Deschanel is married to Death Cab for Cutie front man Ben Gibbard.  She also collaborates with M.Ward in their band She & Him.

The 31-year-old actress is best known for roles in “Elf”, “Almost Famous,” and “500 Days of Summer.” She has also appeared on Showtime’s series “Weeds” and on an episode of the Fox drama “Bones” alongside her acting sister Emily Deschanel, where she played a distant cousin of her sister’s character.

“I’m working on more music and then I have a TV show coming on FOX in the fall called ‘The New Girl,’” Deshanel tells OnTheRedCarpet.com. “So, I’ve been working on that and I have a new website called HelloGiggles.com.”

Daniel Baldwin filed for divorce and was also granted a restraining order against his wife Joanne, claiming that she punched him then threatened him with a knife in front of their children on Sunday evening.

The 50-year-old actor said Joanne Clare Baldwin, his wife, made threats of violence and death “too numerous to list.” Baldwin filed for divorce on Tuesday.  Joanne, 41, was arrested Wednesday night for violating her probation on a previous drunk driving conviction. She was placed in a jail near the couple’s Oregon home and will be held there until a hearing on July 20, reports the Associated Press.

The couple were married in July 2007 and have two daughters together, Avis Ann, 3, and Finley Rae Martineau, who will turn 2 years old soon.

“There are so many instances of violence and death threats, they are too numerous to list,” Baldwin stated in his request for the restraining order. “Sadly, all of them seem to occur in front of our children.”

The actor claimed in his statement that his wife violated her probation “hundreds of times” since she was convicted of the second DUI in June 2010. Baldwin said his wife becomes “violent and dangerous” when she drinks alcohol.

Baldwin said he grew fearful of his wife after they watched a documentary about women who killed their husbands and he quoted Joanne as saying, “Now I know how to do it, I understand why they did it. You have been warned. Move out of this house or I am going to kill you.”

Baldwin appeared in several TV series in the 90s, including the lead role on NBC’s “Homicide: Life on the Street.” He has also appeared in films like “Vampires”, “Mulholland Falls,” “Stealing Candy,” and “Grey Gardens.”

The actor has three brothers who also act – William, Stephen and Alec, who received an Emmy nomination on Thursday for his role as Jack Donaghy on “30 Rock.” Daniel has dealt with his own drug addiction and was ordered to enter a treatment program in 2007 when police found him in a Santa Monica hotel with cocaine and other drug paraphernalia. His publicist reported on Thursday that Daniel Baldwin has been sober for four years and was very lenient with his wife due to his own problems in the past.

Roseanne Barr’s new show is based on reality, but it is still funny.

On coming Wednesday night’s viewers will be able to tune into the reality show of an outspoken and often controversial yet influential mother who lives in a noncontiguous state in the country.  She has a complicated relationship with the media and quite regularly brandishes firearms.

This time it is not a former vice presidential nominee we are focusing on, it’s Roseanne Barr.  She returns to television on the Lifetime Channel’s “Roseanne’s Nuts.”  But starting with the opening scene where Barr and partner Johnny Argent go hunting for wild pigs which plague the comedian’s macadamia farm on a Big Island in Hawaii.  The show often plays like a satire of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.”
“Oh, that’s not a pig after all,” says Argent after Barr has fired off a few rounds at one of the destructive but fast-moving critters. “It’s a small child gathering wild flowers.”

Even Barr admits that the show is “based in reality,” because it is supposed to be funny and it certainly meets that goal. In a welcomed contract to Sarah Palin and other reality stars, Roseanne remains practically unkempt through much of the action (she wears a polka dot apron over a T-shirt with jeans while hunting pigs, both an alarming and baffling effect.  Roseanne also sweats and swears, showing her gray hair and flabby upper arms and though she owns a farm in Hawaii her house is not a mansion.

There are not overproduced glamorous outings and no sound-track manipulated showdowns.  There are also no manufactured feuds.  Everyone in the pilot has the genial mien of friends who are helping an odd yet beloved neighbor.  You’ll even find a trio of local musicians who provide a transitional tune.

Would you agree to go see an Arnold Schwarzenegger film after he admitted to fathering his love child?… Schwarzenegger is back.

Just barely two months after the former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger admits he fathered a love child with his famous family’s housekeeper.  Now the actor is jumping back into movies by joining the cast of a western entitled “The Last Stand.”  Mr. Schwarzenegger will play a small town border sheriff that battles with Mexican drug cartel reports the Deadline.

Based on the project’s description by Lionsgate which is the English-language debut for Kim Ji Woon the director and the role is perfect for Schwarzenegger.

The movie plot is about  “an old-fashioned Western specifically designed for a 63-year-old broken-down guy with a moral decision whether Arnold decides to stand up for his town.”

Origianlly Liam Neeson was slated for the part, but Lionsgate believes that Schwarzenegger is the man for this job.

“We always needed an iconic figure for it,” said an executive from the studio.

The announcement of Schwarzenegger’s role comes a few months following the former governor announced that he was taking a break from acting partly due to his unfaithfulness with his soon-to-be ex-wife Maria Shriver.

Jennifer Aniston’s new boyfriend has already told her that he loves her.

The star of Horrible Bosses, who just started dating Justin Theroux a month ago when she first met him on the set of Wanderlust last year.  Theroux was with Aniston when she did her official hand and footprint during a ceremony at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Thursday.  It is being reported that this is where he confessed his feelings.

“Jen and Justin were cuddled up together before she was taken away for the ceremony,” a source mentioned. “They were away from the cameras and they hugged and kissed for a few seconds before Justin said, ‘Congratulations, I love you!’

“She didn’t say I love you back but she gave him a big kiss in return and then had to hurry away.”

Jennifer is probably very thrilled by Justin’s touching honesty, as the 42-year-old star recently insisted the key to a successful relationship is being able to talk openly with your partner.

“You need to talk to each other and you have to say what you want,” Aniston said.

“You don’t confront your man about things which you’re not happy about, you approach it in a much more constructive way. You never want to be in an adversarial situation where it’s you versus him. “All couples face those kinds of difficulties, but you’ve got to be able to talk about your problems and your needs and do it in a positive way. That’s easier said than done, of course.”

Prince William And Duchess Catherine to Meet Actor Zach Galifianakis

There are now more leaks in the celebrity heavy guest lists for the British Academy of Film and Television BAFT) gala where the Prince and Duchess will be attending.

Nicole Kidman, Jack Black, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony are expected to attend.  Captain America played by Chris Evans will be there too.  Barbra Streisand and her husband James Brolin, Jason Bateman, Zooey Deschanel and Ed Helms and director Jason Reitman will be attending among others.  Quentin Tarantino will be in attendance as well.

Then there is Zach Galifianakis.  Yes Zach will be attending to meet the famous Royals.  Some say he is likely to make the gala more interesting.

Galifianakis could say something irreverent and totally Galifianakis-like during their introduction.

You know, something like, “It’s so nice to meet you. I loved you both in that Disney movie about the princess. You look so different in person, though.”

The BAFTA Gala could turn into an another episode of “Between Two Ferns.”

I am hoping Galifianakis can clear out some space, set up some cameras, a few chairs and a strategically placed pair of plants where he could conduct the most epic “Ferns” interview ever with the royals.

He could put his arms around William and Kate then start singing this song from “The Hangover.”

If he does, I hope it gets filmed and then posted on YouTube

South Korea Wins 2018 Winter Olympics Bid

On Wednesday South Korea was selected to be the host site for the 2018 Winter Olympics.  South Korea beat out two European challengers: Germany and France.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) made the announcement in Durban, South Africa.  The decision comes after months of intense lobbying by a South Korean contingent.  This included a visit to the selection city by South Korea’s President Lee Myung-bak, who made a delivery pitch to the voting panel.

South Korea beat bids by Annecy, France and Munich, Germany.  Early in the day all three cities were allowed to make 45-minute presentations which were followed by 15 minutes of questions prior to the IOC casting their votes through secret ballots.

The Olympics in 2018 will be held in Pyeongchang which is a town in South Korea’s third largest county by the same name.  The games will be held in the scenic Taebaek mountain region which is famous there for winter sports.

Pyeongchang being chosen comes after two close South  Korean defeated attempts for the 2010 and 2014 games, which went to Canada’s Vancouver and Russia’s Sochi.

Earlier reports had placed South Korea’s bid as a slim favorite over Germany, while France was a distant third choice.

The choice of Pyeongchang for the 2018 means the Winter Games will be held in Asia for the first time since 1998 games were held in Nagano, Japan.

In a bit of brinksmanship, both Germany and South Korea sent national skating queens to possibly help sway the vote.  Katarina Witt who is a two-time Olympic figure skating champ led the Munich bidding committee.  Kim Yu-na, a 2010 gold medal figure skater served as an honorary diplomat for South Korea’s efforts.

South Korean celebrated their selection during a concert at Seoul city Hall.  “It gave me goose bumps when I heard that we got it,” said Jeong shin-don, a 40-year old white-collar worker, who waited quite a few hours for the announcement. “I’m beyond being excited.”

Faculty lecturer To Be Vice-Chair Of Special Olympics In Great Britain

The Special Olympics Great Britain (SOGB) recently appointed Jim Blair, a senior lecturer on the Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences as their new vice-chair.

SOGB is a registered charity and is the largest provider of year round sports training and competition in Great Britain which is formed for programs that focus on adults and children with learning disabilities.  The charity is currently offering 26 sports for more than 8,000 adults and children using a network of 135 clubs throughout the United Kingdom.

In addition to being the vice-chair of Special Olympics Great Britain, Mr. Blair is also the organization’s Clinical Director for Health Promotion.  That role has him involved with the healthy athletes screening in Germany as well as at the Great Britain Games in Leicester back in 2009 and the European Games that took place in Warsaw last year.  He just finished setting up a Health and Well Being Forum.

Jim spoke, “Through participation in the Special Olympics programme, athletes gain a significant sense of worth through socialising and achieving personal dreams and ambitions that cannot be easily met through other means. The healthy athletes programme ensures that people’s unmet health needs are identified and a plan of action put in place with and for the athlete.”

In this new position, Jim is eager the benefits of being involved in Special Olympics are even more widely recognized as an vital component of a fulfilling, comprehensive and active healthy life. Jim is also devoted to assisting in increasing the organization to allow more people with a learning disability as well as their families and the volunteers are engaged in sports activities.

1. Get a tripod
When you take photographs of fireworks, the camera must hold the shutter open long enough to capture the fireworks. The longer the time the shutter is open, the more vulnerable your photo is to being blurred by motion. So get and use a tripod to ensure there’s not movement. When shooting photos in open areas, use a stand-alone model with telescoping legs. A more mobile option is the Joby Gorillapod original, a tripod which can wrap around trees and poles or stand on the ground.

2. Use your “fireworks” scene mode
Most point-and-shoot cameras have a dial with “Scene” or “SCN” on the camera. If not you’ll probably find it in the “menu” button. With your camera in scene mode, a list of the modes to choose from will pop up on screen. Select the option that says “fireworks” or which looks like a spray of fireworks.

3. If your camera does not have a “fireworks” or scene mode, use the “landscape” mode
Your camera will automatically try to find an object to focus upon. And when presented with a black sky, the camera will not know what to do. By putting the camera in “landscape” mode, you’ll be setting the focus to infinity which also narrows the lens opening, and keeps both far and near objects in focus.

4. Turn your flash off
Turning your flash off allows the camera to know that it only has the light which is available to take pictures. This is an important tip because the camera will keep the shutter open long enough to capture the beautiful fireworks. The flash button is a separate button usually found on the back of a camera. On some cameras, you won’t be able to turn off the flash unless you put it in a scene mode or either in program mode.
