Furthermore, PTS, Inc. has entered into a Share Exchange Agreement pursuant to which PTSH will acquire 70% of ThinLine Technology Group at the closing. Closing shall occur as soon as PTSH receives satisfactory audited financials from ThinLine, but not later than December 31, 2010.

The Freedom Fund Posts a 7.2% Return Over Its First Six Months
Nov 09, 2010 – Arquitos Capital Management, a Virginia-based investment management firm, announced today that its value-oriented portfolio, The Freedom Fund, returned 7.2% after fees for the six month period between May 5, 2010 to November 4, 2010. The Freedom Fund was launched on May 5, 2010 as an alternative to mutual funds and is set up in an investor-friendly structure called a Spoke Fund.
Spoke Funds are similar to separately managed accounts, but each investor owns the same stocks and original allocations as the other investors. Because of this structure, The Freedom Fund provide better tax savings, more transparency, lower costs and better aligned incentives.
Arquitos Capital Management’s president and chief investment officer, Steven Kiel, said, “We are pleased with The Freedom Fund’s market beating performance over its first six months. There has been a high degree of uncertainty in the markets and the economy, and I’m happy with the portfolio’s steady returns.”

Holidays Put Pressure on Women to Schedule Early Delivery; Risks to Baby Often Overlooked
WASHINGTON-In the rush of the holiday season, most people worry about on-time delivery of important gifts and packages for friends and loved ones. But for a pregnant woman due around the holidays, there’s an added worry about when her baby will arrive.
Around the holidays, many pregnant women experience pressure from family or their healthcare providers to “schedule” their baby’s birthday around festivities and travel plans. Lamaze warns that scheduling a baby’s delivery without a compelling medical reason can put the baby at risk.
“Few doctors want to be pacing the halls on Thanksgiving or Christmas, waiting for a mother to deliver,” said Marilyn Curl, CNM, MSN, LCCE, FACCE and president of Lamaze International. ”So it’s not uncommon to see a surge of women with normal pregnancies being told that there might be an issue and that they should consider scheduling the delivery, coincidentally, right before a holiday.”
Healthcare professionals aren’t the only ones who may try to rush the arrival of babies. Families often can feel stressed about the uncertainty of the baby’s arrival and feel it may compromise the celebration of holidays. Some women also fear that their preferred healthcare provider won’t be available and will agree to a scheduled early delivery to guarantee that their provider will be there for the birth.
“I really understand that pressure. You build a relationship with your care provider over the course of a pregnancy. Plus, you build up expectations about your holiday celebration. So it seems like ‘no big deal’ just to get the birth over with,” said Sue Galyen, RN, MSN, HCHI, LCCE, FACCE, a Lamaze childbirth educator from Brownsburg, Ind. ”But it’s so hard to think that a scheduled delivery, whether through induction or cesarean, was worth it when either the mother or baby experiences a complication as a result.”
One complication of scheduling the baby’s birthday is that often, the baby is delivered just a little too early. A growing body of research shows that giving a baby those last few weeks or days inside the uterus can be crucial to the baby’s health. Babies born even a “little” early face risks including breastfeeding difficulties, learning and behavioral problems, breathing problems, increased chance of time in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and risk of death.
“I’ve had so many students with due dates around the holidays and it’s amazing how many of them ended up with more complications than they bargained for because of the medical intervention,” said Galyen.
Women can play a key part in driving down avoidable prematurity. ”Red flags” that might signal that a mother is being pressured into an unnecessarily early delivery include:
* The care provider suggests that the baby is too big and will be easier to deliver “a little early”
* The suggestion is made that the care provider won’t be available for a holiday delivery or will be “booked up”
* The timing of the delivery is centered on travel and celebration schedules
* Holiday stress is driving feelings of wanting to get the pregnancy “over with”
Avoiding unnecessary medical inductions is part of Lamaze International’s Six Healthy Birth Practices. Based on recommendations by the World Health Organization and backed by extensive research that supports a woman’s natural ability to give birth, these practices are:
* Let labor begin on its own
* Walk, move around and change positions throughout labor
* Bring a loved one, friend or doula for continuous support
* Avoid interventions that are not medically necessary
* Avoid giving birth on your back and follow your body’s urges to push
* Keep mother and baby together; it’s best for mother, baby and breastfeeding
Inducing labor without a compelling medical reason is one of many routine interventions that has not proven a medical benefit to mothers and babies and can impose harm. Other common routine interventions include continuous fetal monitoring, coached pushing, being positioned on your back during labor, requiring repeat cesarean surgeries for women with a prior cesarean and separating mothers and babies after birth.

Improving Sales Skills: Sales Technique Secrets And Selling Mistakes To Avoid

1. Talking too much about yourself. Many times we ask a question designed to solicit information only to respond with something about ourselves. We begin sharing our stories, our skills, our ideas get the picture? It suddenly turns into ‘all about us.’ What happens? The prospect loses interest and begins to consider what new wall paper she should pick out.
The remedy: Be upfront talking about what the prospect’s problems are. Ask, what I call, Wisdom Access Questions, such as, “What’s getting in the way?” “What is most important to you right now?” “What’s working for you now?” and “What would you like to make different?” Give genuine importance to the prospect’s situation or need.
2. Trying to impress the ‘influencer’ of the decision maker. Who is the ‘influencer’ of the decision maker? Anyone or anything that influences the person who is making the final decision about whether to buy, hire, introduce, or listen to you. So, we set out to impress the influencer by asking them for ‘secret’ information such as what does she like to eat? All this shows is that we didn’t do our homework.
The remedy: Paying close attention to the little things. Do your ‘due diligence.’ Know what may make the influencer tick … what gets ‘em going. Be able to identify a reason the prospect could benefit by meeting or talking with you. Don’t waste their time or yours. It also doesn’t hurt to pay a compliment to the influencer. A little sugar goes a long way!
3. Failing to differentiate yourself. What reason do you give your prospect to use your product or services? Do you have a reason? What is it that makes you stand out from the crowd, the competition or the nearest distraction?
The remedy: You need to know before you approach the prospect what makes you different, more special or distinctive. You are the key to how that particular prospect will get what she needs. You are the key to establishing a long term loyalty.
Keller concluded, “Learning powerful sales techniques will help anyone get ahead personally or professionally. If you stay clear and focused as well as read between the lines, you often get the results you’re aiming for!”

The Adventures of Bella and Chocolate

About the Author: Cameron Boyd is an elementary school student in Leroy, Ohio, who wrote her first story at age 5. Now 10 years old, she is working on another book about Bella and Chocolate. Cameron’s grandfather, Philip Musarra, created the illustrations for this book.
