Sex Scandal – NBC’s ‘Gotcha!’ Hansen Gets Caught

Hansen Caught

Hansen Gets Caught

Mary Chapin Carpenter quoted, “Sometimes you’re the windshield/Sometimes you’re the bug.”

The now well known predator catcher Chris Hansen from “Dateline NBC” has made a great name for himself by luring in unsuspecting kid perverts into suburban homes.  He is so popular that “Saturday Night Live” has even made him into a sketch on their show.

Well folks, now the “jokes” on Hansen.

Looking for another stab at the Pulitzer, the National Enquirer tracked Hansen down with hidden cameras and found him in an awkward situation.  The married Hansen was caught in his own sex scandal.  He was caught with a very sexy blonde Florida lady much younger than himself.  But don’t worry folks, she was not a minor.

Sources tell that for nearly four months the 51-year old father of two boys has been having an affair behind his wife Mary’s back.  The lady at the center of the scandal is Kristyn Caddell who is a news anchor at NBC’s West Palm Beach affiliate.  The story just became breaking news as the lead story on the ABC, Fox and CBS affiliates in West Palm Beach.

Hansen who lives in Connecticut has been spending a lot of time in South Florida while investigating a missing boater.  His thorough investigation brought Ms. Caddell to Hansen’s room while he also visited her apartment.

People are asking what Chris is doing there and why he has a pack of condoms and a six pack of beer.  Needless to say they are aligning this mishap with words from his popular “Dateline NBC” show.

Both Sides Fail To Reach A New Deal In NBA Lockout

NBA

NBA lockout

NBA players locked out the owners according to union chief Billy Hunter as the two sides failed to reach an agreement through collective bargaining.

This action on behalf of the NBA now means that half of the major professional sports in the USA are in lock out.  The National Football League locked its players out in March.  The two sides had been discussing a deal this week, trying really hard to work out a new deal.

After a three-hour meeting on Thursday, the National Basketball Association along with its players couldn’t even come close to closing the wide gap which still remains in their positions.  All business of the league is officially on hold including Friday’s opening of the free agency period.  As of now it is possible that games will eventually be enough lost.   The most recent lockout reduced the 1998-99 season to only 50 games in their schedule.  This was the only time the NBA had missed any games because of a stop in work.

“We tried to avoid the lockout; unfortunately, we couldn’t reach a deal,” Matt Bonner, union executive committee member stated.

Both sides remain a good deal apart on almost every major issue, including salary caps and salaries to revenues and revenue sharing.

NBA players had previously offered a reduction in their salaries by about $500 million over a period of five years.  They had also considered the proposal by the owners for a flex cap.  The flex cap would be where every team was targeted to spend $62 million which is a hard cap.  The league announced that total player earnings will never dip below $2 billion throughout the life of the proposed 10-year deal.  Of course, this would amount to a pay cut for players.  Players earned more than $2.1 billion this past season in salaries and benefits. The owners want a reduction in the guarantee to players by 57 percent of basketball revenues.

Casey’s Father’s Alleged Mistress Says He Told Her About The Accident

Casey Anthony’s Trial

Casey Anthony’s Trial

Before police uncovered the skeletal remains of Caylee Anthony’s two-year old body, her grandfather mentioned to his alleged mistress that Caylee’s situation was “an accident that snowballed out of control,” the alleged mistress told the courtroom on Thursday.

This testimony was heard on the final and 13th day of the defense’s case during the month-long trial for murder by Casey Anthony who is the Florida mother who is accused of murdering her young daughter.

Shortly following the mistress’ testimony the defense rested its case after telling that Ms. Anthony would not testify.

Krystal Holloway, the alleged mistress volunteered in the search for Caylee, she told the courtroom that she and George Anthony, Caylee’s grandfather had been intimate in 2008.

Holloway was surprised as Mr. Anthony told her that the child’s disappearance was an accident.  It was at this same time that Mr. Anthony and Cindy, his wife, were helping to lead a national effort as well as making media appearances under the assumption that the young girl was kidnapped but still alive.

Holloway told that George Anthony’s statement was made while the two conversed quietly in her home near Thanksgiving in 2008.  “We were talking about his daughter and I mentioned that I didn’t think he could raise somebody that was capable of harming her child,” Ms. Holloway told the courtroom. “That’s when he said it was an accident that snowballed out of control.”

Holloway said the comment surprised her. “I was caught off guard by it, and when I looked up he had tears in his eyes,” she added.

To try to confirm the relationship the Defense Attorney named Jose Baez showed new evidence which was a text message apparently from George Anthony to Ms. Holloway.  It said: “Just thinking about you. I need you in my life.”

The message was received on Dec. 16, just five days after the child’s body was found in a wooded area.

On Tuesday during his testimony, George Anthony categorically denied ever having the affair with Ms. Holloway. He also denied that he had made any statement about the child’s death.

“Did you tell Krystal Holloway that Caylee’s death is an accident that snowballed out of control,” Defense Attorney Jose Baez asked Mr. Anthony.

Mom Sues Cornell Fraternity for $25 Million

George Desdunes lawsuit

George Desdunes lawsuit

George Desdunes family filed a lawsuit on Monday claiming wrongful-death for their son.  The lawsuit is looking to hold the fraternity of Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) responsible for the death of the 19-year-old who was alleged hazed.  George was found laying unconscious on a couch in February at the Cornell fraternity and was later pronounced dead.

Although Desdunes was already a member of the fraternity he was kidnapped by pledges of the fraternity of SAE, part of a fraternity ritual which is long-standing.

Court documents state that some of the pledges questioned Desdunes about SAE then forced him to drink alcohol until he was unconscious several different times.  The papers state that instead of trying to get Desdunes medical help the pledges took him to the fraternity house while he was bound at the ankles and wrists, dumping him on a couch there where he was left there to die.

“With the death of my son, I find some comfort in knowing that this lawsuit may bring about changes in fraternities that will prevent other families from suffering as I have,” Desdunes mother said.

Desdunes mother is seeking $25 million dollars in damages.  She is looking to teach fraternities across the college communities a lesson with this tragedy.  If common sense and human decency are not enough for fraternities to take note, then maybe the large amount of this lawsuit will teach them a life lesson.  No money in the world can bring back Desdunes.

Dempsey Star Of Transformers Not Sure About Grey’s

Transformers - Dark Side of the Moon

Traveling around the world promoting Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon, cast members have lots of interesting things to tell the media and the public.  Last night at a New York premiere Andrea Mandell of USA TODAY learned a lot from the stars, including:

1.     Be nice to your director and it will pay off.  The director of Hangover 2 recommended Ken Jeong to Michael Bay for his part.  Jeong told Mandell, “I never expected to be in a movie like this, I’m a comedian. It really is a dream come true.”

2.     Tyrese Gibson can lighten up a party.  For example: when in Moscow filming Tyrese says, “we got to the rooftop for the after-party and the DJ was horrible,” the star told Mandell. “I said, ‘Look man, I got it from here.’” He jumped behind the DJ booth and simply took over. “I had to do a little face-lift on the situation,” Tyrese said, grinning.

3.     Entourage is really just like Hollywood.  Patrick Dempsey says, “I met Michael Bay at a Ferrari event in Beverly Hills and that sort of started a dialogue,” said Dempsey, while smudging icing off his lapel which was left by his kids. One thing that Mandell did not learn – if Dempsey is really done with Grey’s Anatomy after next season. “I really, honestly don’t know,” Dempsey said, shrugging. “I don’t think anyone does.”

4.     Director Michael Bay really does have new tricks to watch for.  Next, “I’m going to do a small movie, a fun, character piece,” he told us. As for the possibility of a Transformers 4, with Shia LaBeouf not in the picture, Bay speculates “it would have to be rebooted with a different cast.”

5.     Shia LaBeouf is ready to make a new move. He’s planning to go in a totally different direction next.  He will be playing a Depression-era bootlegger in The Wettest County in the World. “It’s the best movie I’ve ever made,” LaBeouf told Mandell.

E15 Gas Pumps Benefit Only Light Trucks And New Cars?

E15 Gas Benefit

E15 Gas Pumps Benefit

The Environmental Protection Agency recently released a warning sticker about gasoline which contains 15% ethanol.  This is considered the final step to clear the way for the U.S. gas pumps to sell the higher blend.

The only vehicles that can use E15 are light trucks and newer cars from the model year of 2001 and forward.  “Flex-fuel” vehicles will also be allowed to use E15.

Prohibited by the ERP from using E15 are gasoline powered engines likes those on boats, lawnmowers and snowmobiles.

Also not allowed to be filled with E15 according to the EPA regulations: motorcycles and vehicles that have heavy-duty engines like delivery trucks and buses, off-road vehicles and equipment and neither can light vehicles which are from 2000 or before.

The process to use E15 began over two years ago and the release of this new warning sticker means that it is in the home stretch of the approval process for the group of ethanol proponents.

According to the EPA in early 2009 a combination of ethanol groups petitioned the EPA to waive the allowance of gasoline with a higher 15% ethanol content to be sold in opposition to the current 10% limit.

The EPA ended up conducting tests to decide if engines would safely handle the higher blend.  The EPA partially granted the groups’ request last October after initial test results. This testing opened the door for E15 to become approved for cars 2007 and newer as well as light trucks.

After additional test data was analyzed in January, the EPA decided to expand the waiver to light trucks and vehicles going back to model year 2001.

Tips for Better Air Travel Experience

Travel Experience

Air Travel Experience

Traveling can end up being a truly bad experience if you don’t prepare properly before you head out on your excursion. However if you follow these useful tips, you can have a much more pleasurable trip.

Prepare

If you plan on Airport travel it is imperative that you prepare ahead of time and know the type of things you will need to be ready for as far as inspections, what you can and carry on, etc.  It is better to check with your Airline’s website or give them a call a day before your flight so you can be educated on these types of issues.  Rules do change occasionally so it is better to know ahead of time to avoid delays.

Properly Pack

It is better to start with a list to ensure nothing you need is forgotten.  Keep everything in its place like putting outfits together to make things less stressful and easier when you go to unpack.  If you do need to carry on items such as perfume, and other standard toiletries just make sure they are in the proper size containers to again avoid delays.  These containers should also be in clear bags to lessen inspection time at the Airport.

Park

The easiest thing to do is to take advantage of offsite parking options and booking this ahead of time.  It is usually less costly and you will spend less time than trying to find a spot in the usually airport lot.  Many times a valet is available as well to make things even easier.

Provide Yourself Some Stress Relief and Leisure Things to do in Case You do Have to Wait.

No matter how prepared you are, there are always going to be times where you will have to wait at airport.  It is just a fact of life.  IPods, cell phones, even portable mini TV’s are some of the things you can bring to help pass the time.  Most Airports have a small store which will sell magazines but it is helpful to bring ones you prefer.  Also keep in mind some things for kids to play with if you do happen to be traveling with children.

Keep in Touch

Check your flight information through the Internet or call the Airlines directly.  Many times flights are delayed and a quick call can save a lot of time if a flight has been cancelled or delayed.

Just following these few tips can make things much easier and less stressful.

Can Obama Win Over Donors With The Big Dollars?

Obama Win Donors

Obama Win Over Donors

As the Presidential election inches closer, White House aides are pulling out all stops to attempt to win over the wealthy donors who may be possible Obama supporters if nudged in the right way.  This is especially true in the battleground states.

Along with the wealthy, Obama’s network of aides and campaign officials are trying to find ways to coax the small Internet donations which helped produce the landslide victory that occurred four years ago.

Some of the events which have happened recently are aimed at specific groups.  Some of these groups including Jews, gays and other community and business leaders are angered over the current administration’s policies.

Many of these activities almost resemble the Clinton-style traditions including presidential phone calls, Whitehouse overnights and various other enticements.  Right now, they are doing anything they can to overcome Obama’s ratings which are low and the bad economy.

It seems as if the Presidential campaign has come to life recently.  Campaign officials are in an aggressive mode during this time frame of an approaching Presidential election of staffing up various offices around the key states. This is unusually early considering this type of activity is normally seen only months before an election.

Former bank executive and White House Chief of Staff, William Daley has been seen recently with the big players on Wall Street and other business leaders in Chicago, Washington, and New York.

Jewish donors are frustrated at the Obama Administration’s Middle East policies and Daley along with other officials is trying to address these concerns.  Along with Daley, Valerie Jarrett has visited with a major pro-Israel donor and was found to also be a possible Obama financial supporter.  Jim Messina, Obama’s campaign manager, also approached several Wall Street executives in New York this spring.  It is still too early to tell how effective this new campaign push is going to be.

South Carolina Repeats College Baseball National Title

Carolina National Title

South Carolina National Title

South Carolina won the first CWS at TD Ameritrade Park.  Last year they won the national title at the Rosenblat Stadium.

Michael Roth SC’s starting pitcher was dominating at the mound in game 2.  The whole SC team was thinking about mimicking the Oregon State team of 2007.  South Carolina set records Tuesday night for having 11 straight victories in the CWS.  South Carolina became one of only six teams to win consecutive national college baseball

Florida’s Coach was focused on forcing game 3, but SC held up strong.  “You have to be a little lucky to win this game,” said Gamecocks coach Ray Tanner.

Wingo was clutch against Texas A&M in the bottom of the ninth.  Wingo was very successful late in game one against Florida as well.  .

“He’s been so valuable to this program,” Tanner said. “He loves this program. He has fun. That’s how you have to play this game.”

Michael Roth pitched a whopping seven innings against Virginia in last year’s National Championship game.  “Mike has the biggest heart of anyone I’ve seen on the field,” said South Carolina’s Christian Walker.  “You want him out there even if he’s not 100 percent.”

Roth 1.17 ERA over 38 innings is second all-time behind Steve Arlin who played for Ohio State in the 60’s.

Roth gave up a double to Florida’s own Mike Zunino who ended up scoring a run later in the inning.

Matt Price, SC’s closer went in for the kill with his 20th game save. worked 1 1/3 innings for his 20th save.

Florida’s pitching came out strong in the 8th and 9th inning but South Carolina prevailed.   Whitson, Florida’s star pitcher will be leaving the team next season due to a 9th overall draft pick to the San Diego Padres.

“I just think I started nibbling a little bit and pitched behind the count, walked a couple of guys, hit a few,” Whitson said. “It wasn’t very good execution on my part. Just tried to keep my team in the game as best as possible.”

Zunino’s homerun gave Florida fans hope after being down 3-0.  The homerun was useless after a 5-2 victory SC victory.
